Tonight's action saw me playing Omaha Hi Lo.

Early on there was a defeatest (read: mutt) who had a nice stack then decided to give it away over a series of about 10 to 15 hands. There were several of us that were more than willing to relieve him of his stack and that got me off to a good start. I had 20K at the break. After the break, I kept on motoring and more importantly staying ahead of the average stack and found myself in good position at the second break with over 100K and only 35 peeps left.

A couple of nice pots later and good ol' BstrdBridgie grabbed the overall chip lead at 205K with 33 peeps left. Although I lost the chip lead on the very next hand I stuck to my fundamentals and with 27 peeps left got the chip lead again. THEN I won another big pot which gave me the huge chip lead, which I rode all the way to the Final Table.

But even with the chip lead going into the FT there are no guarantees. In a word, my cards f**king BLEW (ok, that's two words, but you get my drift!) on the FT and I kept fighting and fighting but with the blinds increasing more and more I kept finding myself all in and somehow kept surviving. Finally, I went out on a hand where I had an Ace, the board made a pair of Aces, and the other guy in the hand had the last Ace. He hit his full house, I missed mine and I was toast.

All in all, not bad for a 4th place finish. Just wish I could have had better cards to play.
